Honestly, I have to say I get it yet understand its not justified. But what I want to say is I can’t say that either of them truly loves her. They are obsessed with her power that makes them feel calm. I’m not saying how they’re is right, but I also understand, when you are almost like cursed, obstructed from society, are in pain in every single moment of your life & can die any moment. Then suddenly a person come who can erase your pain & you don’t have to die anymore, plus the power is like a drug itself. I don’t cheer for anyone. I just feel bad for all. To people hating on the prince, when the whole country hates you & every one that is supposed to back you and wants too you & when you are locked in a prison or tower cause you can go berserk as a kid. I do understand why he’s so cold & mean. It’s a coping mechanism
The issue with these types of stories and powers is that guides make ability users go crazy. So it’s hard to judge if this was the prince’s original personality or a side effect of the guiding. It seems like he is getting more obsessive and possessive each day. So far everyone in this world who she has helped has gone crazy, just in different amounts.
