I actually feel that he is better than the black hair. Let’s just say he was born to the wrong people, time and place. I’m sure he would’ve made a better male lead than our made he had anyone been on his side. I mean, our male lead at least had the king on his side. Blond hair literally has no one on his side.
Blonde guy is the real victim in all of this coz he naturally had a weak constitution but because he’s being possessed by the demon, he’s able to to do the feats he’s done but even before all that, he was in love with Nui. The fact his love is probably one of the few things keeping him sane against the demon is really heartbreaking coz its a love that won’t come true…and the fact dude make unalive himself to keep Nui safe.
I mentioned this in the comments but I remember one of the seeds that showed he liked her. It was when he was talking to his father and he forced him to experience pain. Also he showed the same hesitation in front of his mother which caused her to slap him.
He has been constantly trying to stop his family from hurting Nui but since he is under the power of the parasite and the Demon is using him, he has found it extremely difficult to try and help her out right.
