He didn’t want to kill Esthel for power but to control Chloe.
He didn’t like that her love for her daughter was stronger than her devotion to him.
I dislike him yes. But I dislike the girl more because she would do anything such as kill a child for power. This bad thing would use a child for power, but to kill wasn’t on his radar until she pur it there. Both are disgusting and I hope for fl and the Emperor’s happy ending
