I like this story. I feel genuine connection and empathy to the main character even though she is imperfect. I had similar life expiriences to her and her emotions are spot on to the things I have felt throughout my life.
If you don’t like reading about sadness or loneliness or you fight depression I don’t recommend this to you. But for me, as I love stories about loners I love it. I love being
as hopefull as the FL about the future that will come in the next chapter.

I read it up till 76 and honesty it’s got all the red flags. Spoilers ahead!!! When you think something is improving, well, it’s not. We’ve got here a mix of everything: orphan, abuse, corporeal punishment, humiliation, starvation and imprisonment, fixation on revenge when ML kills a man FL fell in love with (a glimmer of hope in her miserable life), insanity, suffering, loneliness, and then it even escalates further in a spiral of “how to beat a beaten dog” trope and make FL even more miserable. Imprisommemt. Then she gets away and for the first time enjoys her life. Again we revert back to imprisonment by ML (not in the fun way) who supposedly realized his love but really catches the FL who managed to rebuild her life only to rape her and force her to live with him. Then she leans dangerously close to suicide. Honestly, if you like suffering go ahead and read it. Personally im dropping it
