Trash male lead is trash. There is a VERY abrupt S/A scene early on that he initiates and brushes off when the female lead confronts him about it, and then when she tries to take a stand about breaking off the engagement, he literally says ‘I paid off your family’s debt so you can’t do that unless you can pay me back.’ Which pretty mich confirms that he more or less bought the poor woman without any care about her consent. Not ro mention he got pissy and possessive about the felame lead being forced to show her scars to other potential suitors (an experience that clearly left her traumatized) because ‘only he is allowed to look at ther body/scars.’
And yet all the other characters, even the ones who see him treating the female lead this way, carry on like he’s a gentleman and a doting fiance. Ugh. No thanks.
