I don’t like that the ML, he is a poor Idiot and I don’t root for his love story with the FL, nevertheless, from a point of view of a parent is not right to deny the paternity…..She preferred to run away instead of saying: “This is your son take Responsibility” the son is not only hers, why didn’t she have an abortion? did she want to keep a “memento” of the emperor?! Her choice was irresponsible, hasty, driven by fear of confrontation and her feelings.
She wants to protect her son with money, but sadly hiding a Prince is treason, money won’t protect her from the law and enemies….but this is just a novel.

This isn’t going to be a very detailed review, its only going to be my opinion.
My initial impression was that i was going to read a manhwa about the FL moving on with a better man and what-not….but i didn’t get that.
Apparently she’s going to date the king and not the handsome and kind commoner from her village? this title is a scam and a waste of time lol so don’t go into this story thinking you’re gonna see an unforgiving badass of an FL who shows her stupid regretful husband who’s boss. Because that is nothing close to what this story actually is.
The ML is the cat and Elijah is the mouse, he chases after her while she runs away. That is the story. If you like misunderstandings, scheming mistresses, and baby daddy drama then this story is for you i guess.
It’s not my cup of tea honestly. It’s already chapter 52 and I feel like nothing has happened. The same problems which were introduced by chapter 1 are still not solved, mostly every scene with the main characters are them talking to other characters, and there are zero action scenes or dialogues which is supposed to prove how “intelligent” or “strong-headed” our FL is.
Since this story is mostly focused on the relationship between Elijah and the king, the author should’ve also focused on the child as well. He’s a character but sometimes even I forget he exists. I think it would be nice to see the FL and her child bond more therefore we can actually know the kids personality other than only being the “secret child of ML”.
And perhaps seeing the king and his child in disguise meet by chance would give more depth to the characters.
They feel so flat. I’ve read 52 chapters and yet i barely know anything about them. All I know is that the ML is shit and is looking for the FL because now he’s somehow in love after realizing how boring his life is without her and the FL is running away for some reason. That is literally all I’ve gathered from this story. It’s slow-paced to the point I’ve aged 20 years just waiting for something interesting to happen.
I am sure the author, artists, and translators worked really hard on this story but this story is just not my taste. If you enjoy it and love the characters from the moon and back, knock yourself out. Don’t let my inferior viewing experience judge what you read.

Yeah I agree,this story is slow in pacing and nothing interesting happens yet. I’ve read stories with same plot like Remarried Empress,How to hide the emperor’s child, and I don’t love you anymore,but this story is some kind of boring. I’m waiting for the revelation time of Edmund as a fake son but I guessed, I need another 50 chapters before that happens. Well,this is just my own opinion
