Technically in novel she never forgave him but just accepted being arround him cause carlyle longed to be with his father or she really needed to abandon her son if she was gonna leave

they did’t have much romance depicted in novel but they did have a daughter in side stories aswell…….dunno how i feel about this part but guess author wanted to create a happier ending
