MC’s mother is more stupid than she looks. That’s plain asking a person to embody another person’s ideal whether it fits them or not. While politics is hard, it doesn’t always work one way, so that way of thinking is already flawed. Not to mention her audacity to say to MC if she had been the empress Ella would have been the crown princess, while she herself forced her out of the kingdom.
I was already not quite happy when author showed her getting along with MC’s husband and mellowed down, but now even more unhappy, I hope she gets a taste of her own medicine.
