ok so this is my conclusion.
One, Fionelle is a suspect contending for the duchess position.
Two, Fionelle isn’t a murderer but is only using threats to try warding off the duke’s girlfriend by scaring her.
Or Three, Fionelle is pretending to act in love with the duke to protect him and his fiancé’s bc someone might have hired her to do so which is why she told selena that as a warning.
I’ll have to read more of this but Fionelle truly seems suspicious, as if she’s hiding something and I don’t think the author would reveal the true culprit this early. To put it shortly, her being a suspect could be used as a misdirect in order to make the readers believe she has something to do with the murders.
I’m liking this manhwa so far, it’s really funny too.
