But what she did was adding “i” which is the cute version, like doing aegyo. You know how koreans put “i” at the end of their words to make it sound cute. It’s like baby talking, but saying his name (for example, instead of “Eun Sang-ah” you can say “Eun Sang-ihh” to make it sound cute. Or instead saying “Beom-ah” you can say “Beom-ih” with a rising tone.) I remember Ong Seong Woo of produce 101 (season 2) was called ONGIEE by his fans. This was popularized because of one the judges called him ongie due to his good visuals (and girls tend to act cute when they see a handsome face so they joked about it ) Well, at least that’s how I’m interpreting this. I’m not sure too if it’s right tho.
“khaljjioni” .. idk what the original korean was and if the translation was accurate, but i’m assuming that “jjioni” might be “jeong” which is a word koreans use to describe positive bonds/relationships; both platonic and romantic. “khal” is taken from his name calcion, so selena mashes them together and makes up a cutesy nickname for him hahaha correct me if i’m wrong tho!!
