This is the mature comment section I was looking for. I too fed up with some trashing ml from early ch. I understand if they didn’t liked the ml at start but even there is slow character development of him Chinny named person goes all out on hating. One time when he given a intriguing smile like when he was impressed with fl, one people called him clown while some called him ugly.
I mean there is even certain degree of hating a character but some goes all out on hating him.
He is perfect balance ml not green and neither the red in terms of treating the fl. And also not fallen in love with her immediately. And by his personality he remained true to his own personality at start. Although he changed but only towards the fl.
I agree with the comments here! People were trashing it at first cause there wasn’t romance right off the bat and they disliked the ml for it but honestly what did they expect? Did they think he would just randomly fall in love with a princess from the rival country whom he just married to keep as a hostage? I really like this slow burn cus this way the characters will get to know each other and harbor feelings in a realistic way not in a way that feels forced.
@zennn45 yes and if he were to fall for her from the first chapter they will also say that he has no reason to fall for her why did he fall for her and such and then drop it because it makes no sens for him to fall in love with her already

i stan this manhwa. the author has consistently shown us how powerful she is and also didint foreshadow her powers with the interferance of ML . i prefer him watching her winning rather protecting her and not letting us see her
I stan this manhwa. I hope all those who bashed this manhwa have gone their own and left us stans alone. She is so cool and I just love how he does what she says and ask questions later. Such a trusting king.

some people are too quick to judge without letting character developments happen! It wouldnt be an interesting story if the characters (relationships and all) are already perfect from the beginning :/
She’s such a badass i don’t even need the romance it’s not like they giving us romance in this anyway I have yet to see a ba-dump from any of them. I adore the 3rd concubine she so sweet I’d love it if they gave her a love interest.
