@FaeBreeze I think she (or nicola) has to be the empress because it’s a marriage between royalties. Eliza (the mean concubine) is just a countess daughter from neighbouring country. He planned to take one of the princesses as hostage, so it has to be a marriage honourable enough that the berry kingdom cant refuse. (If he said he’d take the princess as concubine, berry kingdom, who’s already reluctant about sending nicola, will be able to refuse saying that it’s a request that’s not good enough for a royalty)
