First of all he didn’t cared about anyone in the first life. Even she was enemy he offered her to become empress and will help her to take revenge from her family. But fl was in delusional that her family and her countrymen were not bad. After that 10yr later he sent her back to her family. But her family executed her. How can he be blame for that? She is just a mere war prisoner what you can expect from enemy that they will treat you better.
And when she was in prison in charriot empire many concubine tortured her. And why do you blaming him for her get tortured. I hope how war prisoner tortured in reality. And plus he didn’t care about his own wife then why do expect him to care about war prisoner.
And last thing is that she chooses the emperor, not the emperor chooses her to marry her, it was fl who tricked her own family to get married to him and she even knows his personality beforehand. he wasnt trash or anything . she was a war prisoner . he still tried to help her but she refused. he couldve killed her bcos she never gave any info but he let her survive cos he wanted her to realise no one cared about her in her family . War prisoners are never treated with sympathy and so far the emperor only did not do evil things for her ? should he have let the war prisoner escape ? ofc not . even female lead knows this and she is okay with it so yall need to stop saying that ” she forgive him easily ” the ones who betrayed her where her family which led her be the prisoner not the emperor . @chinny she never truly hated the Emperor I believe. She was taken as a war prisoner, so no doubt she dislikes him a whole lot, but I think she also felt saved in some moments when he was the only one who offered to help her. Obviously she refused cuz she was still loyal to Berry, but when all went to hell, she remembers the chance he offered her and regretted not taking it
Yea he was trash in the first life but to give him the benefit of the doubt it’s not like he really *knew* her all that much in the first life to catch feelings. Didn’t he just want her to be his wife because of her powers? Since she refused, he saw no need to maintain interest (cmiiw). Wasn’t it the same this life too, he saw her as nothing but a tool but unlike in first life he actually got to interact and know her.
Maybe she doesn’t feel much resentment towards the kind because she already drew the line that in the past they were enemies and he didn’t really cause her active harm (tho he didn’t stop others from hurting her, but given the setting why should he?).
