I really don’t like how authors portray their MLs as trash,scumbag,garbage field etc..just to redeem them in the end or in the middle of the story. Regardless of if he treats her better in the future, he’s still a total asshole. Like, i understand that he’s an emperor so he has to act in the best interests of the empire, but you can still do that and also be a decent human being.
