It’s fine if he’s asexual, but what wasn’t fine was how he ignored and disrespected her, allowed his own family and servants to mistreat her, always was comparing her to his sister, didn’t give her any gifts, berated her for wanting to spend her birthday with him… the list goes on and on.
If he really was asexual, she would’ve accepted it I bet (especially since she’s from the modern world with more familiarity on that kind of thing), but she was correct that it was less asexuality and more because of his tangled obsessive relationship with his sister.
