I think Luca, for all his “I’m a super logical full grown man in a tiny body” attitude is actually reacting with the emotions of the small child he was when he lost his uncle the first time. He’s having a child-like plan to the effect of “If I’m horrid to him he won’t love me as much and won’t die for me and I’ll get to keep him longer.” There is also likely a bit of “If these two love each other they’ll love me less” jealousy hidden in his reaction.

It’s an interesting story because I think that Luca is a regressor and his Aunt is a transmigrator. And it can be very silly and chaotic but moments like these make this story really good. And I love the personalities of the characters <3
The plot is too silly and far-fetched here. Ruediger sacrifices himself to save Luca. That makes Luca believe Ruediger doesn’t have any feelings/doesn’t care about him, because according to Luca’s logic, if he truly cared, he wouldn’t sacrifice himself to save him. He sees his actions as something he did only because of his “duty”. Again, that’s too far fetched lol Luca doesn’t think logical here.

If Luca likes Ruediger that much, why does he behave this way?
Because he is scared to be too close to Ruediger?
Is he scared that Ruediger would just die for him and leave him behind again one day?
