@Aki Terafin , you forgot the fact that she have lived a very Harsh life until know , she got heavy burdens on her shoulders since she was young , so as a Defense mechanism of her mind she shut herself , like happynes does not belong to her , she basically made of aria her sister the reason of her existence , her mind is not right , but can’t blame her for that , but as time pass she can get better , aria is probably the best person to help her , since the MC Love her that much .

Why is her self-esteem so low for such a hard working person who doesn’t care much for material things or people’s approval. I understand the plot has her caring for her sister and that can make her feel at time a failure because she can’t save her sister by herself.
However, apart from her strong sense of responsibility, I have seen no reason why she would constantly look down on herself so much. The previous chapters did not present her with such self-depreciation.

I guess what is trying to be displayed is a female version of an ‘icecold duke’ (only self-reliant, only self-trusting, others only approach to take advantage, needs alot of time to open up and accept a helping or smpathetic hand and yet the barren North is well cared for:)
