I’m not saying Eckhart is in the right, or that Theo is in the wrong but also “he had a chance to change and still continued with the black magic tests” uhhh? How did he have a chance? He was distraught and broken and had literally no one else to rely on or any kind of idea of what else he could possibly do, and was in such horror of his actions that he asked to be killed. He was still a child, and letting him live was the right choice, but what else was he meant to do with himself? He was wrong for turning his anger on Theo, but he literally didn’t have any idea that he himself could choose to do better, and the only person who could have supported him to be better just left him.
