What happened to the original plan of the female lead to be sent far away from the empire? After being attacked in this place and not feeling safe in her former room anymore, how come that she still decides that this is the “safest” place for her???
Just because the duke had suddenly turned into a superhero and killed several “well-trained” assassins on his own? After lying in bed for months which should have caused his muscles to weaken seriously?
I somehow get that our heroine is nice enough to completely want to heal the duke after he saved her life, but she clearly has not developed feelings of love for him, so why did she even have to play out this old trope of time-limited contract marriage “for a year” because of the “original story”? *sigh*
1.he was a superhero before being poisoned
2. if he was well feed, a few months shouldn’t be to bad
3, he pretend to sleep for a month, after that they were a few more weeks, where he bought time to investigate, so this fight is maybe 2 months after he was cured, plenty of time to get back in shape
4. there is no safe place for her now. No one is saying it out laud, but I’m sure the empress suspects she can heal the 1st prince. She might be the number one target right now, regardless if she is going to a different country
5. i hate the limited marriage trope, but she doesn’t know what we know. For her she is a stranger in someone else home. She has no power, nothing to negotiate with, nowhere to go. She is also a woman, which i imagine things are 2x more scary that if she was a man in similar situation

if thats the case you guys will definitely died for sure or at worst gets used first before getting killed..
the reason most of the isekai’d person who knows the future still survive after they reveal everything in manhwa is usually because of a green flag ML.. well some has their superb planning in things also contributed to that.. but blabbering all at once? they must think real life world is black and white like manga/manhwa
A lot of the comments below seem to forget that that would have been the first time the FL met the Empress ever. So even if she says that she rejected the Empress’ offer, accusing the Empress of making such an offer and of sending assassins is a lot. Like the comment below that speaks of social hierarchy, etc, one has to remember that she and the Duke also don’t know each other that well and his personality is not known because in the book, he died, so FL is flying extra blind.
FL has knowledge from a novel, she can’t willy nilly say “the empress did it all” without evidence. She has divine power, yes, but no where did it state that divine power came with foresight. She’s also scared because someone with a great rep and great power is the villian. She’s also not originally from this world and probably had a good life in her past. So she’s new to all these experiences. Social ladders are fickle and can easily go 0-100 real fast. (Hence why I opted to be a hermit…)
ML already suspects the empress, hence why he’s having the empress investigated. He’s already on her hit list simply because he doesnt support her son. FL also can’t fully rely on the novel’s knowledge at this point because she’s now a target and the plot has changed. I do agree that she isn’t exactly that smart, but the Duke also doesn’t talk to her about any of his plans. Perhaps if he did she would be more at ease and she’d be able to show how capable she is.
I hope that she can let Prion know of the budding corruption in the temple though. She also needs someone to teach her how to use her divine powers for more than just healing. Who better to do that than Prion. 🙂 Perhaps it’ll help with her character development.

If she’s going to make a deal with him, she should at least give him info on who he’s actually up against instead of letting him go around investigating everyone and waste time. Even if he doesn’t believe her(which in this situation is unlikely), he’ll be wary of the one she pointed out. Luckily, the ML is smarter than her and has decent observation skills to not fully trust the empress anymore and has already started investigating her. Else the moment he starts getting in her way of killing FL, he too will go up in her hit list.
She deserves everything happening to her like its not time to tell him yet so how many people need to die before she like ok Im gonna tell you whos the culprit.
