OG Edith was a bad guy people. Yes she was abused and coerced, but she did leak documents, she did poison Rize, she did trample on others. OG Rize was good. It’s that horrid devil system that messed everything up.

And the problem with other story was the author wasn’t willing to change the og story even if the story was changing. But since the story was changing, character’s behavior were also changing. And since author too became character of the novel, she can’t just rewrite the story stuff. She had the privilege of author like having control over characters so that she can carry out the og story. But she herself have to follow the story because she’s another character of the story and no longer transcendal being that created that story or world. So yeah in og novel, they were under influence of og story but they weren’t really brainwashed. Edith was also kinda rude and did nothing to improve her reputation and with the whole plot being against her, it just went the way it went. It’s just that story itself was faulty and bad. In the other timeline where author reincarnated as reze and some other people as Edith, the story was changing but the author was using her privilege as author to control the characters hence it became manipulation/brainwashed type of thing.
Was the OG Timeline Killian brainwashed? Coz I really cannot accept this kind of behavior towards the OG Edith. The prejudice and judgement is insane! No wonder OG Edith went insane and got even tired of living even after her revenge with the author.
