yep. I read the novel for a bit and then skimmed it and couldn’t finish it probably cos I knew the manhwa first and I prefer the manhwa. it’s all abt preferences but the manhwa has better approach imo.
I’m glad the Duchess got more input this time. I’m actually glad that the whole cast were given “screen time”. This adaptation gave more life to the other characters.
I hope Cliff and Reeze get severely punished in this version. I don’t mind the changes they did since I don’t really like prolonged depressing chapters but I hope the ending won’t be rushed. I really want to see the couple being lovey dovey

In the novel,when Edith was captured,the whold Rudwick family except for Killian,suspected Edith.She was almost executed when Killian appeared and said “Since she’s my wife,she’s also a Rudwick,not a Rigeholf?anymore .But the dad kept her in prison where this scene with Reeze happened.In the novel,Reeze stabbed her hand herself and accused Edith of if.But,Killian asked how could a person behind the bars who was starved for days stab your hand that deep?And Edith’s hands are cold as ice but the knife,it’s warm.
Then,Edith was released and rest in their bedroom.From that point onward,Reeze did whatever she wanted and the whole family became disappointed in her and blamed themselves for spoiling her too much.She even flirted with other men and ofc,Cliff hate it.He also apoplogized to Edith and Killian and said Killain should be the duke,but K refused and they settled in their new estate.While Reeze was sentenced to death for deceiving the imperial family with the child matter(i won’t explain in details or it’ll be too long.This is alrrady long enough)But Edith asked the king for mercy so R was just banished.Edith gave birth to two or three?childern adn they lived happily ever after.Oh,the most important part:This whole time Edith thought Killain was kind towards her bcuz they were compatible in sex and he had a strong sense of responsibility.There,Killain was mad and asked Edith how she could not know he loves her the entire time and as a punishment he f*cked her.
So different from the original I don’t like it…. it seems that the author wanted to close the story quickly, the novel was much better, too bad. Honestly, I don’t understand why all’ these cuts on the final 😤
