I am sure the ending has been changed due to the huge amount of complaints the novel ending got for not expossing Lisse clearly as the villain and leaving Killian as the only one truly on Ediths side. This version is giving us a different scenario and that is ok too.
The way the events have been shuffled and changed compared the the novel has completely destroyed the impact the novel had. The novel is vastly superior at this point
I made an account just to leave a comment on this manhwa because i’m so so mad like the artist made a whole different story at this point every scene that contains the ml showing his love and respect to the fl and how he is ready to be against the everyone just for her is changed and they were my favorite scenes like i don’t know whats in the artist head why does the femel lead need to be this pathatic and loved by everyone? Things don’t work like this i think the writer had a perfect idea to show how love is earned not just by looks or giving candies to the little lonely ml no it can be earned by spendibg time with each other and understanding each other better and how we really show how we someone can change and thinks different and deeply regret his past actions killian very rarly said to edith that he rsgrets his past actions but we can see how edith knew that in the end just by observing his actions and i’m not talking about him saving her from death i’m talking about something deeper i really really wish everyone reading the manhwa tries to read the novel and thinks about it cause its one if my favorite of all time the way the writer showed us the charchter development and how strong the original writer of the story can control some charchters and some not with the reason explained it is really a masterpiece edith didn’t have to be a smart with a little evilness type of fl to prove that she is strong and killian didn’t have to be the villaine who hates everyone and is cruel and rude to everyone except edith to prove that he loves her(omg i wrote alot i will stop here)
so in the end I wish all the artists understand that a novel was written in some way with some scenes for a reason and if you didn’t like half of its scenes or even more you don’t have to draw it just make your own story that satisfies you causr again EVERYTHING WAS WRITTEN FOR A F~CKING REASON
