ok, people are asking for spoiler so here i go: (it’s been time i have read it so there can be slight differences in story but you can get an idea from the spoilers)
killian and duke easily defeats edith father. However, there is a group that will try to attack the mansion where lize, edith and duchess is. Edith takes round around the mansion everyday to see if any spy of her father opens ones of the secret door for that group. lize will open the door for them and there will be chaos. lize, duchess and edith will run away while knights are fighting
NOW THE VERY SAD PART FOR MY EDITH, DON’T PITY LIZE FOR EVEN A SEC (She is the ORIGINAL AUTHOR)
WHILE THEY ARE RUNNING IN THE CARRIAGE, edith brother WITH HIS KNIGHTS will find them and will kidnap all 3. edith tries to protect lize and duchess and her brother beat her up (BADLY) for it. all 3 are kidnapped and is taken to a house with a basement. lize and duchess is kept on first or ground floor while her brother takes edith to basement. (duchess and lize was unconsious while this happened) later on cliff comes to find them but only takes duchess and lize back, BECAUSE HE DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER TO SEARCH FOR EDITH AND THOUGHT SHE WAS WITH HER BROTHER IN HIS PLAN

so edith is left alone in that basement, cold and injured. she somehow manages to break herself free FROM THE BASEMENT (since cliff killed all kidnappers) and then stumbles around and gets to a village. I REPEAT SHE WAS COLD, HUNGRY AND INJURED. now the duke and other are back after winning against edith father (oh wait he is not her ACTUAL FATHER) and order his knights to find edith as a culprit for the kidnapping LIKE HOW DARE HE. killian also try to find edith because he cares about her. he gets to the house where they were put after being kidnapped and finds edith belongings in the basement and finds out that she was kept there and that CLIFF DIDN’T LOOK FOR HER. now worried for edith he goes around serching.

oh God. I’m gonna let this marinate bc I will NOT be able to handle cliff hangers for the next leg of the story. I already went through enough distress reading the novel as it updated. 😭😭
She has every right to be afraid, just wait for it…
I feel that between this one and death is the only ending for the villainess people don’t seem to understand that these aint your typical isekai where the protagonist act stupid thinking the story hasn’t change when all the evidence points that it has, because those stories don’t have a system that controls the world like this one does. Here they aren’t like delusionally thinking that what they see can’t be true, it’s more like for now everything is/looks fine but the system can still affect the story somehow unless I win over it solving the task that it demands until I am safe. And that isn’t good for anyone’s mental health.

I am glad the artwork is good and remain the same because so many other stories have change the their artwork and is not as good.
The story is truly following the web novel and are doing a good job in keeping to the storyline.
