killian tries to find her like crazy. Edith in the village first thinks that killian too hads abandoned her and thiink of leaving through train, buys ticket and wait at train station to leave but in the end decided against it, she didn’t want to live if it’s not beside killian. so at this point she decides to wait for duke knights even if it means her death as she will be able to see killian face one last time. So she waits there and her train leaves. After that the duke knights find her and is shocked to see how she looks (she was injured and beaten up by her brother) they take her to the duke residence. killian also finds out that the knights have found edith and hurries back. At this point edith has given up on her life.
Edith was taken to the site where regelof family and their allies were being executed in duke residence or terrirtory. killian finds edith and tries to take care of her but the duke sends edith to the prison
Before she goes to prison, lize tries to motivate edith to live because the 3rd condition to break lize (author) control is to for edith to give up the will to live. so the 3rd condition gets broken and edith is taken to prison. Lize later on goes to prison where edith is kept with a dagger, hurts herself there, screams and blames edith. killian who also followed lizeto protect edith proves that edith didn’t hurt lize at all. following lize scream cliff also enters there.
Killian proved edith innocence as her said that hilt of dagger is warm as if held long enough while edith hands are freezing cold so if edith really attacked lize then the hilt of dagger should be cold not warm. He also insists that edith is put into a good place and is given blanket and warm food
NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING TO LIZE ABOUT IT.
Later on. the aide “linon” gives his testimony that edith is innocent as he has seen edith fight her brohter to protect duchess and lize. he also saw her get beaten up by her brother. linon was not on the site from the start because he was also attacked and injured (hence unconsious), the moment his eyes opened, he ran to save edith.
So edith is proven innocent and she falls asleep in killian armss. He takes her to their bedroom and lays her on bed. later on he goes though edith bag which was found when she was at train station and finds boiled sweet potatoes in it and realizes that edith used those to keep herself warm. his heart breaks for edith and what she has gone through and he feels very guilty.
later on, when edith recovers, killian and edith leaves for killian territory.
AS FOR LIZE:
lize can’t believe that she has no control over story and edith is still alive so she follows through with the og story in which she finds a kid at auction who is royal fam member. she goes to auction to finds the kid but the kid wasn’t there as the story has changed so she takes in a random kid who looks similar to the royal kid. gives him a fake birthmark as the royal kid and pretends that she found the kid infront of the princess. Later on it’s revealed that she presented the wrong kid and everyone was skeptical because no one knew about the kid birthmark in the empire except the royal family. She is to be punished so her and the duke family takes the hit for her (why did they not show this kindness to our edith, i hate them especially the duke) cliff and lize divorces too.
Edith finds that kid when returning to the duchy to meet the duchess on the way, she doesn’t know he is royal and just wants to take care of him, the kid knew he was royal fam but thought his family didn’t want him so he doesn’t tell edith about it. later on the kid finds out that his fam loves him and royal fam is happy to have him back. edith was given a choice to ask for anything. Cliff also apologised to edith in the end and offers killian to take dukedom but he refuses
AND THEN WE HAD A HAPPY ENDING. I DON’T REMEMBER WHAT EDITH ASKED FOR THO.It is also revealed that there had been many ediths before our edith from this story. Lize pulled other readers in this world too for fun

So if you are hoping the ML is gonna become the duke well no t happening. You think Rize or Cliff will die? Nope not happening. And Cliff will become a duke and marty another woman he loves and have a happy ending🤣🤣 so fucking stupid and until the very fucking end I don’t think any of the in laws apologize to FML. Like this is fucking bullshit. The duke and the duchess will be happy, cliff will be remain as the heir and then marry some one he loves and be happy.
