I should have know it: Linan (also called Linon, Linal, etc.) was the character I liked most in the beginning when I started reading this manhwa because of its admirable art-style.
But that was only while he was still a calm and rational background-character who even recognized the female lead for working hard.
This chapter ruins everything! Now we learn that he has been spineless, selfish and even lazy (by just doing what he was told), plus that he was rather unsocial too in his younger years 🙁
So this family KNEW there were spies from other families hidden among their servants, and they had a ton of those – but still didn’t monitor (!) our female lead by several personal maids from the very start; not even after suspecting her? Instead, they then left her alone with that abusive violent maid Sophia from the Ringelhof family for so long?
This whole side-story seems to have been written solely to flatter the female lead and her role in changing Anna and even Linan to the better 🙁
