MY READING HISTORY
You don't have anything in histories
Mochamie
Put a 8-year history of illegal fighting, human trafficking, and kidnapping to a 10-year-old.
How makes sense…., lol.
The writer should makes better reason than this for the villain father to runaway for his crime
Rengin
Seeing the comments about how death seems too much cuz of one illegal fight house, but ya’ll need to know that is not just because of the fight house but also human trafficking and kidnapping involving even orphans, tax evasión, and the abuse of the duke’s son. It might have been different if the judge were the to be the emperor/king like in other manhwa but here the one to judge is actually another person with more power than the emperor within the court that values justice so its fair.

High Treason? So in this Story an Illegal fight club is as bad as Regicide?

Well I can’t wait to see what happen next

The story has a lot of loopholes. But it has gone a bit overboard now.
.
Normally the family would be banished.
Their charges are a bit ridiculous. To sentence all the family members to death for only one illegal business where every single noble has a dark history and iligal “something” going on right at this moment its too much of a stretch!!
.
In the case of high treason it’ll be the main culprit, the head of the family and his accomplices whos going to be executed, and his irrelevant family members are banished or sent for labor etc.
Maybe ’cause the writer is a Korean she is using the East Asian history as reference subconsciously, Apparently even infants wouldn’t have survived in the case of treason in the old imperial days.
Yet its so weird to see that in a ‘victorian’ setting, even in a fantasy version of it.
Well, there are some good aspects to the writer being an East Asian as well.
Like how they are more ‘ethical’ that what people used to be in europe some centuries ago in!
Being an avid reader of history and cultural heritage of the world, I sure know for a fact that history was way darker than any novel we ever read in this day and age. Even darker than ‘Les Miserables’ even though its a pretty decent novel based on real events of its time.
