That’s a very small age gap and I see no problem in future romance 🙂

well i guess what @Leileyani says doesn’t make it that bad in context, but knowing that he looks like a child, acts like a child, and everyone else thinks he’s a child is what makes it weird. But I’ll keep reading to see if the author hopefully clears up the age “difference” before any romance is involved.

There is a few things I think you readers need to know (please note this is going into spoiler territory but I feel that you guys should know): Will is not younger than the FL. The FL reincarnated but so did the ML. In this life, he is only 15/16. She is actually 17. He is also not underdeveloped. The reason why her best friend stepped in and it will be revealed later, he recognized something in Will. That he was faking everything. He remembers the first timeline. She wasn’t supposed to meet him at all. He sought her out for a specific reason. So to sum it up: HE IS MUCH OLDER THAN HE APPEARS BOTH MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY. He was abused and malnourished which stunted his growth but at the same time, he kept his mental capacities. I hope this clears it up for everyone. ONCE AGAIN FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK: THERE ISN’T THAT MUCH OF AN AGE GAP. TWO YEARS AND HE’S PRETENDING TO BE “YOUNG” though I’m not sure why.
@haurva are u me? This is literally my thoughts . I don’t understand why authors love age gap stories so much. This is same in the “hidden love” too. If they are going to make an age gap story it should be like “i became the wife of a montrous crown prince”. Like they had a little age gap but because the two of them was kid it didn’t feel weird. But when one of them is like a child and the other one is an adult… That feels like shit.
@lulaidris: from what I understood, Dietrich when he first came to the area took a look and guessed there would be 50 soldiers at most, but upon closer inspection could only give her 30 names (30 soldiers). Now the order came to send “30 soldiers of the Lord for the army”, which is why she says “all our soldiers”
everyone here trying to validate their experience with the plot and i just wanna understand what happened rn, what’s with the 50 and 30 soldiers i dont get it😢
we all keep hoping this’ll stay parental and the childhood friend will be the ML even though every single person here knows that’s not what’s going to happen. we all know they’re gonna have a short timeskip and have the kid suddenly be super tall and built like a brick shithouse and suddenly now the FL is like “oh no when did he get attractive and also he keeps making passes at me forcing me to consider him in a romantic context” and the writing’s not going to get better. it’s never not going to leave a bad aftertaste. the author can say all they like that there’s only a three year age gap but they chose to draw it like this so it’s clear what vibe they wanted and the plot point of underdevelopment is just a shield from criticism. you know that. so why are you pretending like you’re still reading in hopes that the situation will change? feels performative. i’m only here cause i want to see her stab her ex, which i am reasonably certain will happen eventually. my advice is probably just… dropping it for a while, everybody. if it fixes itself, you’ll hear about it and get to binge the new chapters. if it doesn’t improve, you won’t have to sit through this weird pedo shit. it’s win-win
@chinny I 100% agree… honestly if he is the ML I may be dropping, it just feels wrong, even if he is older than he seems he is still much younger than her…
