WTF? It’s a standard trope in these stories, I realise, but this one just seems extra stupid. It isn’t necessary to the plot or anything either. She could have lived her past life the same way regardless.
It’s a neat novelty to put the dead mother back in the plot to tear him a new one, I guess. That much gets points for innovation…
