Yeah he only care for her and in earlier ch it was stated that he is the only who writes letter to her.
But because of his shitty father and puppet brother he have to act like cold and disinterest in her.
He also have guilt of his mother death. Because of his wish his mother died and now what he wished from her mother is a little whom he will protect her but basically he failed to do so. Now he is regretting.
I can imagine his future if he get married and have child, he will definitely a good father and love them because he knows that what his sister feeling when she was craving for attention from father and brother and all of them ignored her.
