You guys have forget the he might have never received love as a child and might not be able to show it he is a person that finds it hard to open up. Maybe because of his curse. You are being to narrow minded😒🙁
Haiji92
Aren’t you guys being one sided here? Remember that after what she has done before, he still gave her a chance to prove herself, regardless of how absurd the condition was? And now he is doing the same exact thing and she won’t even give him a chance???

curse gets dispelled by unconditional love, right? does it even have to be romantic? couldn’t he patch his relationship with his daughter and then ta da he’s cured but still a dick so bye

I agree with @Marrika and also to add, divorce IS about parents. Whether it’s to protect the kids or to protect themselves, it’s still parents decision. I’m not saying it’s ideal or a decision that would 100% be always right, but parents navigate their household and dictate the mood in them, so decision to be together or to separate are theirs. It’s obvious that no kids want to be with both parents, that’s how most kids work. Even anused and ignored, most of them want their parents to be together because they dont know life outside their household. They want their emotionally absent dad to miraculously be kind and love them and mother. They want the mother to forgive and forget their father. But they’re kids, and even though for them divorce is devastating, sometimes kids dont realize until later on (if ever) that a lot if times it’s better for parents to separate and be happy individually than to stay together “for the kids”. It’s the parents behaviour during the divorce and the coparenting afterwards thats more important than the divorce itself for the kids growth.

@bingereader She knows why he did the story is pretty explicit he has an unnatural need to kill and he killed the wife out of anger but the daughter’s death is completely collateral. He didn’t want to kill or approached her in anyway, the daughter got in the way and in a cursed fit he killed his daughter too. So yea she wants to leave the guy is suppose to fall head overheels with his crossdressing guard, but classic to this sorta story she tried to get him on her side, he wasn’t interested so she went to divorce to get away. It’s not like she ran away in the first chapter she tried to show she was smarter and he reveals nothing, she tries to improve his relationship with his daughter and he reveals nothing.
She isn’t a mind reader she tried multiple times to improve the relationship but his general distrust and being a edgy boy he wants to stay closed off to his family so she figured best thing to do is just leave and let him be alone with the woman he was destined to love.

Should have used that money she found to move to a different kingdom after telling him she was just going to their vacation home. Forget a divorce it’s bound to happen anyways if he falls in love with the OG FL

Lea is so cute 🥺
BingeReader
Dude, wants to be happy with his family but legit can’t without the insistent push to take it all away with his own hands. that a effed up curse. he’s legit cursed to destroy his own happiness.
I wish FL would actually ask her daughter if she wants her and her dad to get a divorce like @blahdeblah said. She’s focused on divorcing for her “daughter’s sake” without discussing it with Lea, very parent-centric divorce. It makes sense since he killed them both the 1st time but, she’s not tryna figure out WHY he did it. She’s so hard focused on divorcing that she doesn’t understand that even if they divorced, dude could still kill them. She needs to figure out WHY he did it to better keep her and Lea safe so it feels like her concerns don’t go further than saving her life since chapter 1.
blahdeblah
i feel like if lea just tells her mom she wants to be with her dad, she would just drop all of this tbh
she keeps saying she is doing it for the kid, but hasn’t actually asked her what she wants
it’s not a redemption arc, it’s just normal parent-centric divorce logic

I can already guess who’s gonna win………..

@HoneyToast, 100% I’m so tired of stories having redemption arcs for abusive MLs, just because “oh, you no longer love me? I suddenly love you and want you now, and I repent” or “I’m going to have you even if you don’t want to” 🙄
HoneyToast
Y’know, I think it’s quite cheap to blame all that emotional abuse these MLs give on curses and brainwashing. It still doesn’t negate the trauma caused and in my heart, I’m extremely reluctant to accept them 😤 in rl, these terrible ppl won’t change and your love can’t “cure” them. I say all this to emphasize how much better the other Duke is ! 100%
