The ML is a depressing person that thinks he doesn’t deserve to be happy due to his tragic upbringing. He always suppressed his desire for happiness and always find reasons that seem logical and professional in order to express his affection, such as when he used honor as an excuse when he saved both his wife and daughter, and when he used their agreement as an excuse to spend time with his family. The ML is indeed pitiful but he really mess up by using the wrong words which resulted in him pushing them away.

Same. Her husband annoys me but we all know it’s fruitless. Can someone actually tell me a story where the FL decides to leave her husband and she doesn’t take him back? I only know of two: No Longer Pretend To Be Blind and I Got A Divorce And Now I’m Chaenoble (I think). Those are the only two.
