It seems that he’s finally gained a brain and some dignity over these 35 chapters. Also, I understand the Walker family having more power, but puckering up to the nobles isn’t the only way to gain a strong and prosperous kingdom.
Just like how you can’t only rule through kindness, you cannot rule through flattery either. What if the nobles become greedy and start a rebellion? or what if the commoners start to rebel instead?
And using the Walker family to gain power is stupid when there’s a whole ass woman who apparently rebuilt an impoverished and destitute land in the span of three years. There’s obviously a reason their kingdom went to shit and lost power; the imperial family is a cesspool of senseless power-hungry halfwits.
