wtf…..is the author purposefully making the king an idiot? this entire situation could be solved if they made ella queen and had someone become a concubine for baby-making purposes, that way both options would benefit their country. At least, that’s what I would have thought of. OR they could just make sure Ella doesn’t overwork herself and help her manage her health properly, that is also an option but i guess no one would think of that since they’re all overwhelmingly stupid.
