star vs the forces of evil
The art is… Pretty inconsistent. I feel like it’s not dog sh*t but it’s not great. The proportions aren’t the best, the angles, etc. I agree that it feels very first draft, both the art and the story.

The art is really bad especially compared to the cover and the background. The plot is kinda lacking if you think too hard about it, a lot of things are pretty obvious, and kinda dumb

I couldn’t get into the story cuz of the art. it’s just too jarring to have these really nice, clean backgrounds and then the art style looks like a first draft. that’s not to say that it has no redeeming qualities, I just think that it’s still in its rough stages. the story seems charming, if somewhat rushed

Personally, I have to agree that the translation and for me, the art style isn’t that good. The story is not that remarkable and it’s pretty mid. I do love the chibi art style and the background. There’s something off putting about the art, like it’s one of those old mangas. It’s not bad, it’s just a style that I no longer like. The translations though are terrible. Not as terrible as others, but still pretty bad

Personally, I find the art just perfectly fine since it’s a romcom. It brings out the comedy better. Extravagant and way too beautifully drawn art like ‘My Mother Gets Married Again’ felt too stiff for a comedy but really great when it comes to serious plots.
