Personally, I think the maid did something really good by doing that, with her sending that letter to him so he could actually catch her was the right move IMO, in that way he came and cleared up the misunderstanding. And besides, she did that because she was extremely worried about her health, if she didn’t she would look like the worst maid ever, mostly because it’s her job to take care of her master, even if that means doing something she is not supposed to.
Wholesome story is good but im abit disappointed by this lackluster development. It ended way to quick and plain after building all that hype from chapter 1.

Being a maid, I would probably do the same I mean the lady I served is suffering from fever and in that scenario where I don’t have knowledge about medicine and basic knowledge about maternal care.
Yes maid broke the trust but it’s for survival for she have no basic knowledge about pregnancy (remember that the time where commoner women don’t have access to science knowledge.) She’s excusable since the blame could fall on her shoulder if something happened to her madame and if they died, she’d be also involved or worse. She didn’t know what to do but since her madame unconsciously called the name of her hubby, it’s the only conclusion she came up with, she assumed that her madame missed her hubby which is true tho.
Crazy that maid gets a pass. She was running away for a reason, what if he really were a danger to her and the child. Even if the maid did have good intentions she still went behind her master’s back and contacted the man Elisha said didn’t want their child
