Both of them….are really pissing me off. Its not thay fking hard to talk about. For her to live 20 years in her previous life and be 30+ years mentally she’s still so….ughhhh.
That’s not the case in RL either. if you’re talking about an important topic and you’re interrupted, you keep talking and don’t just stop… he just said: but… e.g.: but if you get one then I’ll be happy. I think he wants to say. why should a woman bring up the subject of children, either because she really wants one, or definitely doesn’t want one, or is already getting one. but then you don’t stop in the middle. it ruins my reading
The lack of communication is getting painful to read!! The silver lining as how Elisha isn’t obstinate and doesn’t just assume the characters will remain the same even after all the changes made(unlike other FL’s I’ve seen). As much as the miscommunication is both of their faults, let’s admit that Richard should take the majority of the weight. Richard is simply not telling Elisha how he feels and for no reason at all, while Elisha is being observant and discreet which also leads to misconceptions (but at least she has a cogent reason). Anyways, like everyone else I hope this misunderstanding quickly unravels. I haven’t read this in a while so please excuse any fallacies mentioned!!

Richard, that’s the most ridiculous reason I’ve ever read. Don’t decide on your own,ask her if she wanted or not to have a child. Consider that what if that’s the reason why she wanted a divorce? -a child?. And Elisha just be truthful and tell Richard that he’s going to father a baby soon. Not just asking him if he wants a child. But well, the title cannot be justified if things like this won’t happen
this is one of those times where you KNOW he would not rat you out for having a kid if you vanished. there’s nothing to be lost by telling him the truth when you ditch. this is not a situation where a massive extended family is going to look down on an illegitimate child – this is a legitimate heir. but if he doesn’t want one, nobody has to know the kid exists. there IS no extended family. you can fully ask him to help you cover it up and get a divorce if you honestly believe that’s what’s going to happen when he finds out. you lose NOTHING by telling the truth. misunderstanding or no, her course of action does not make sense
