Sooooooo most of the readers must be teens cuz this is how it was back in the day. Once a girl started her period…she was married off. Some were married before their periods if their family was really in need of money or connections. Child brides was a word for a reason. She’s 12 and he’s 15. Sadly growing up I knew kids these ages already having sex so it’s not uncommon. I honestly doubt though the writer will do that with them. Maybe kiss but when this started she looked 18-20 years old. So assuming when he comes back from War they will get together. War gonna be probably for years and they’ll keep in communication through snail mail loll
