I remember it was different in the novel. Empress and princess both were in a carriage that was about to crash. Both came at the door and gave their hands to ML. But ML grabbed empress’ hand and fl got injured. The kidnapping incident was later in the novel and empress was not involved in it.I want to say I really hate this ML who didn’t respect FL’s heart till later. Later when FL gave up and wanted to return, ML miraculously realized his heart and didn’t let her leave from his territory.

Oh… from what I understood, Richt had chosen to save Hestia over Peony and that choice inevitably hurt the little Princess. I’m glad that they had changed it to show that he chose the woman he loved now over the one he loved before. It shows real growth on his part. I wonder how they handled it in the story? I mean yes, he ends up with Peony in the end because it’s a romance but man, I’m curious as to how he won her over after that debacle since it would have proven to Peony that Hestia is still #1 in his heart and there wasn’t a place for her.

I haven’t read the novel but I also heard Richt is better person in webtoon. as you can see he was going to propose to her when he was back from escort mission. His heart is already changed and he chose the princess firstly. He did the right choice cuz there was no one to come to save her. now he has to face to consequences but I think it is also ridiculous cuz he banned from capital and no longer head of the imperial knights. HE ALREADY FACE TO CONSEQUENCES. I’m waiting that after princess leaving what will gonna happen?

I’m glad I’ve got to see Richt’s redemption in this webtoon version, I really love this as far as I remember in the novel Richt still choose to save the empress and peony just know it and let it go and went critical and the angst is too much. Kudos to the artist for making Richt character loveable here??
