Pathetic…. at least give us a reason why the mom still chooses to live in that village – there better be a very good reason besides plot. To make it worse, FL already knows daddy isn’t coming to save them. I guess she is trying to better herself by reading books, but is that enough for the immediate crisis that they are in???
