The premise was interesting, then it’s one trope after another after chapter 10.

Right now, as of 2025-05-22, chapter 16 and 17 are identically, and (interestingly) chapter 18 is the same as chapter 15.
This story COULD be so much better, but maybe the author is still young or something (and the art makes a similar impression), so it focuses mainly on forcefully constructed “dramatic” scenes, does not care very much for logic, and unfortunately makes use of boring tropes over and over again.
The female lead is a “servant” in a tower where kids are subjected to torturous experiments in order to make them “transcendents” = basically war machines with super-powers, but in a Victorian fantasy setting.
Later on we suddenly learn that the female lead was also helping out in the laboratory of the tower and had gained a LOT of knowledge about medicine there, such she is able to work in this field then. As a transmigrator she also sometimes knows the exact date and time of events that are to happen.
On the other hand, now matter how competent (and hard-working, which I appreciate very much) the female is, she often blunders while her enemies also resort to illogically brutal measures, so she has to be saved – only by the male lead, nobody else – just in the nick of time every other chapter or so.

Nothing super exciting but I like this so far, good to pass the time, and enjoyable. FL isn’t dumb nor annoying so that’s a big plus. Also TL and art are good. ML is ok too, but nothing much happened to really show his personality, and see whether he’s truly ok or not. Not bad at all
