Don’t get why he poured all his love and affection into a girl other than his daughter. He could help her moderately (remove her slave title and give her a shop or something to live from). I am sure she felt hated and abandoned since she could think, not understanding why it is all happening. And later on her soul might have looked down and see the same father who she thinks despised her, being sweet to another girl.
That would drive any soul crazy and turn into malicious ghost
