I think everyone is forgetting that they are wolves in the first place. Maybe not exactly kill each other but wolves always have an alpha and that’s the leader. They say if 2 or more prince’s awaken, they fight for the kings title because there can’t be more than one alpha.
All of them have same mother. I’m guessing in their childhood kids fell victims of nobility’s power games what resulted in siblings becoming traumatized and their relationship getting twisted: 2nd prince died, mother fell sick and later died, 1st – Kamut – became extremely distrustful and 3rd grew up toxic and power hungry.
Okay- what I’ve pieced together about the whole situation about the 1st 2nd and 3rd princes is that they all have the same mother. It says that our ml was born as the first prince. The second prince was said to have died in an accident when he was quite Young, which lead the mother of our 3 hot princes to fall into despair and eventually succumbed to illness. So basically what I’m trying to say is that all the princess have the same mom. That’s why it talks about the current emperor only having one mate. I hope this helped!

there might be translation error. I thought the Luwell was mistress child, or a child adopted from the branch family. Like the white haired mage that is also a relative outside. So maybe they are really brothers.
But there is something that has been bothering me for quite some time. IF Kamut’s mother was the Emperor’s once-in-a-lifetime mate, who was the third prince’s mother? And the fact that he’s the THIRD means that there is at least one other Prince. What’s the story there? I mean I’m sure it will be acknowledged later… but… that probably means that there was more than one Queen. I wonder if it’s like the other royal court representations? That there was an Empress and concubines (or Queens) to make certain there were enough heirs but then why would they even bother? Kamut was labeled as FIRST PRINCE?
OH, or maybe the Third Prince is actually the first prince’s cousin raised like a brother? That he’s the Emperor’s nephew and like they have brought up so many times that the Third Prince was only thought of to be the rightful heir was because he could transform?
When i reread this i noticed that the queen (ch7) and the mother in the death (ch19) bed kinda have the same hair color so i feel like there is just 1 queen but u never know
