Idk I feel happy with this current development, I don’t like that Arsene is treating our ML as an object that has to react how he would be pleased and can be discarded easily. Idk why some are confused with her actions because personally there relationship from day 1 can’t be defined a relationship rather a captive within their predator’s den. Idc if she consented to some kissing or cute interactions, it’s ducking toxic and I need the main lead to get his shit together. Idc about his past and even with the servant talk, it just confirms all of what our main lead fears are
But realistically speaking, it would be safer to be in the Arsen’s care. She should have demanded a contractual marriage instead and had him promised to not harm her (her family as well as friends) in any way in exchange of acting as the new duchess. She should have asked the emperor to be the ‘witness’ and mediator of the contract instead of asking him to protect her family. And that if Arsen find someone he loves, both of them can request to nullify their marriage. Arsen would probably agree because all he wants was to cage her by his side.
If the empress or someone from the new city (she’s in) find out that she has a healing power, things may go awry.
Yay congratz on escaping, I pefer it the FL actually succeeds in her choices against the ML. It really shows that the FL has a say in the story and not the author just shoving the plot on her.
