This is getting to be hard work to keep reading. Even now we’re pushing the “duke is a beast” nonsense, only it’s from characters who’ve met him and obviously know otherwise.
I did like how it shut down drama by just having MCs talk to each other, but now it’s all low-brow story beats: jealous friend who seeks to ruin relationship; the dumbass notion that he thinks she’s “hypnotised” or imprisoned by the duke… just seems like resorting to cheap & easy drama.
Honestly, this feels like it’s become a Temu version of Another Typical Fantasy Romance…
Nadia may behave like naive stupid girl bot on second glance she was extremely sheltered from young age. There wasnt much explanation at the begining but wasnt it told that she was sick from young age ? I wouldnt be suprised if later will be reveled that James father scam Nadia family for big money and they may barely escale treason acusation. Anyway i hope this marchiones wont help this James fith his kidnaping.
