As people already noticed, the Emperor is a manipulative bastard, BUT, oh god that captain is a damn egoistic simp that can’t take no as an answer – particularly, I think it’s even scarier and more insulting to have to deal with a person that delusional and egocentric that can easily put your life at risk because they want to live their idea of “what they deserve/want”.
For now, the emperor at least doesn’t seem to want to go that far as to kill her or put her life at risk if she denies him, BUT, she sure is in a golden cage. Obsessive relationships are like shit. Some people have a fetish for it – but most don’t.
Hope both characters can become better so I can root for one of them.
And that blond prince ( that is probably from the empress dowager side), that guy is so shady and cynical, that he most probably will use the kids as leverage for his plans, or even the pink-haired lady. I have no hopes for this ml.
I mean is he really that different from the emperor? He keeps pursuing her and despite her rejection he continued to approach her. If he were in the emperors position/had that power I’m sure he would do similar things to her.
