ya know, i like this story. its an interesting concept and interesting characters, but the one thing that i really find to be lacking is the foundation for the feelings? three men now are obsessed/in love with Elan and tbh all the reasons that they are seem to have just happened off screen? so its just hard for me to empathize with the male characters cuz im just sitting here like “wait, why do you even like her so much? you barely know her????”
From what I’m seeing, I believe there are parts missing.
But I believe I can answer some of your questions:
1. The Emperor – I think he’s always liked Elan. He had been keeping a close eye on her and her name was the one he said. I believe he was well aware she was the woman from the festival since the beginning thus why he was teasing her so much.
2. The Captain – He had worked along side Elan for quite a while. That’s enough time for him to develop feelings for her.
3. The Rebel – In this case, yes, you are right, he had not spent nearly enough time with her like the Emperor or Captain but his constant approach of her was possibly due to some sort of like. HOWEVER, I also believe the reason he stayed close to her was once he saw the twins, he knew immediately that they were the Emperor’s children.
1) If anything the rebel has know her for 5-3 year now making his interest the most normal. But he may know about the twins being the emperors, even though that is weird it’s a manga so that goes too.
2)The captain only knew her for so long but did spend a lot of time together we have to remember that she was a newbie when she ran away they say as much. So I would say he knew her from 1 year to 5ish months.
3) The Emperor is the worst even if he has had his eye on her since day one which is really creepy on it’s own. He’s only done that for 1 year to 5ish months however unlike the captain he didn’t spend a lot of time with her.
I know the emperor will end up being the ML but I just don’t like him at all. He just makes the least sense.
