Right now, it feels like we’re supposed to take for granted that they’ve fallen for each other, because that’s how these stories usually go – but they haven’t put in the effort to build the relationship. It’s not payoff if there’s no buildup. They may as well ave started this story after they’d already gotten together and have the children be the sole plot focus.
