Let’s be clear rn: nobody wants to face the fact of impregnating a random woman but well? You should at least do the bare minimum. No one has the right to insult the ml. He’s someone who’s just barely carrying on. The magician even said he used to behave like someone who had lost the will to live. Only now did he have a look of barely struggling. The ml and fl are just too hurt souls who can’t face their feelings, well the ml is. I don’t care what anyone says, the fl didn’t personally experience what the og merhen did. Yes, she has the memories, but they are completely different souls. How do you think the og merhen would have reacted if the ml had told her of the assassination attempts on the children’s life? She wouldn’t care and will probably fight with the ml over this. The ml has never learnt how to treat his wife or kids. The only thing he learnt were from his friends who by the way are dead was how to barely care for a friend. For goodness sakes, this guy’s first love was his friend and he never even confessed to even if he’ll be rejected. He’s not selfish, in fact he always thought of his wife in all his decisions, he just never talked to her about it. I mean they’re practically strangers who jwere just joined together because of a mistake. It was written that he frost brought up topic of adopting the kids not because they were his friend’s kids but because he thought that having kids around her will lessen her grief. I don’t know how you people aren’t seeing that but are preoccupied with making the ml a bad guy. Whether you like it or not, he’s the ml and that won’t change. Also sure the fl isn’t the og merhen so she has nothing against him but she can still feel the pain and sorrow the og merhen went through, probably just as well as if they were her own feelings. And frankly, who’d be trying to be best buddies with someone who had slept with and married another person while having their heart and mind towards someone else as well as not being there when their spouse as in their darkest hours. Miscarriage is something that can destroy a person from the inside, driving them to a very dark place, sometimes or maybe even mostly blaming themselves for what happened. While it was a marriage arranged simply because she got pregnant, he should have done something, anything. He did go through something tragic, yes, but he also got to experience kindness and compassion towards him in his own darkness hours, at the very least, he could have said something, or even asked his friends for advice before so much as thinking to bring the child of the one that got away before her.
