He had a hold of the ledger, he could have taken it with him w/o even listening but he listened. Had to make a decision for hours whilst she waited. Both had no food the whole day yet no servants came in to check on their mistress. Wow. Let me read a couple more, maybe the story has a backbone. But so far its kinda off pacing.
