Hey catfish, I’m pretty sure the ml and fl had similar goals and they were honest with each other about them when they got together, doesn’t using someone include either lying about your intentions or leveraging power over someone to force them to do something they wouldn’t want to do otherwise? I also don’t think leaning on others that offer help when you have too many barriers in your way to do something on your own is a bad thing, it’s a smart thing to do. There’s a story trope about the loner that won’t except help from others being lonely and not living up to their full potential, it’s called the “power of friendship” trope.

Here she has a sister who would kill for her, a husband on her side, a stepmother who’s beginning to respect her. Back there she has a father who hates her, an ex who neglected her, nobles who mock her. She didn’t just want to leave Valer but also escape all that.
You’re acting like she’s just bumbling around cluelessly, but she’s already establishing her authority as Empress. Plus, it’s been, what, a day since they were actually wedded? Do you expect her to start a revolution? Find Excalibur? Why does she need a large overarching goal aside from “find her own happiness and live her life”? Is that not a goal in of himself.
Her and the king are in a mutual agreement. If she’s using him than he’s using her just as much. It’s not any of her business if he caught feelings. She was proactive enough to find an escape from her situation and take it.
Not to mention, divorcing a foreign royal who’s marriage with you was meant to broker peace? When your own royal family symbolically adopted you to add legitimacy? Not something one can simply do. She is committed to this. She’s not looking back because she regrets leaving, but because it’s hard not to dwell on sad memories. Hard to move on and trust things will be better.
Neveah at least Rubiel knows what she really wants. First,Rubiel got your attitude of using others to escape and fix your problem. Don’t get me wrong, she used Arendt to escape from Valer,her father and her kingdom. And that is what Rubiel doing now,using Thorben’s younger brother to escape from her father too. She thought using others is okay because that is what her sister did,too. Second, at least, she confirmed from the beginning that she will not stay in Veinfred and will go back to her country once everything is settled. But you Neveah has no proper plans at all. I’m sorry to tell this but if you still love Valer,then go back to him. Arendt deserves better though it will hurt him much. But if you love Arendt, go make boundaries between you and your ex. You are not the abused Neveah anymore, remember that you’re an empress of a country now. See,Navier of Remarried Empress she’s happy with Heinly.

Can we have another fl? I know she’s the protagonist but I really feel bad for Joachim! Can we have Neveah needs character development, the story is good as well as the illustrations but I’m already tired with Neveah’s attitude.
I want to read the novel but it’s nowhere to be found, I have read some spoilers that triggered me but I don’t know if those are indeed legit.
